About Us

At Salmon Safaris, we take our role very seriously. Safety and well-being are paramount, as are fun times and great memories. Our guests include families, friends and business groups from all over the world. They come to experience the wonders of the Pacific Ocean with its pristine coastline and unique wildlife.

Welcome aboard the 'Aquaholic' Aluminum craft built for comfort. She is 28.5 ft long with a 9.5 ft beam. On board you will find a head, fresh water, heater, fridge and comfortable leather seating for 6 guests. You will also find state of the art electronics that actually attract fish. Radar, sounder and coastguard connected radio and GPS are on board, as well. Our fishing gear is some of the best money can buy. We use both light and heavy gear depending on the species we are targeting. There is plenty of room aft for 'working' those big ones and for just lounging in the sun. The coffee is always on.

The boat is located at Pedder Bay Marina, a scenic 30 minute drive from downtown Victoria. You may purchase snacks, fishing licenses and souvenirs at the marina if you wish. There is always lots going on at the marina with attractions such as horseback riding, kayaking and hiking trails very close by. The phone number at the marina is 250-478-1771.

Safety features will be brought to your attention at the beginning of the trip and please do not hesitate to ask questions regarding any safety issues or concerns while on board.

Lifejackets, fire extinguishers, flares, life rings, anchors and all necessary safety gear are on board. Digital select calling radio allows immediate connection to Coast Guard. This feature identifies our vessel and our position immediately upon contact.

Salmon Safaris is proud to be one of the fully bona fide, insured and certified charter operators serving the general public. Please do not hesitate to ask to see our credentials.

We follow Fisheries Canada legislation to help preserve the fish stocks for future years.
